Handwriting Difficulties

Difficulty in handwriting, also known as dysgraphia, is a processing disorder of the brain, due to which children might have messy handwriting or find it extremely hard to express their ideas into written words and sentences. Dysgraphia is usually associated with other learning difficulties such as dyslexia and ADHD. Qualified occupational therapists can mould and train children at their penmanship skills, by correcting their pencil grasps, sitting postures, hand and body positions, fine motor control etc. and make their unclear, sloppy handwriting into an intelligible one.
